Did you know that doing squats, push-ups and sit-ups daily will strengthen your muscles, improve your posture, core and upper body strength, burn calories and more?
This month's FREE Fitness Challenge is based on functional fitness training—a type of workout geared explicitly toward better function when performing everyday tasks. These tasks might include putting a heavy object on a high shelf, bending to pick up something off the floor, or walking up and down stairs. Because functional movements mimic your everyday activities, you can perform functional strength training workouts frequently without concern for injury.
Functional training can an help develop stability in your muscles and your body, and improve the overall function of your body, boosting muscle strength and endurance.
